Health Care-what The Future Holds

The questions about national health care having been nagging America for years. Some know that it is necessary no matter who has to pay for it and others believe that it is a slow roll to Socialism, which is something America has been fighting for years. Politicians have been battling with the issue for years and it has been a polarizing issue in both houses of Congress. You are either for it or against it, but the one thing that is clear is that something needs to be done to reform health care in the United States.

Most will allow you to believe that the system is failing and that if left to its own devices that it will bankrupt the entire U.S. Government but one has to wonder how things have gotten so bad. With so many people paying exorbitant premiums it is a wonder why it costs so much to keep the health care system afloat.

Of course, under closer examination it is easy to see that much of the problem with the system is the fact that the system itself is one that is designed for failure. This system is not one that is designed for health but one that is designed for sickness and in caring for those who are ill it can be difficult control costs. Also, since the system contains many who don't have health insurance these costs can sky rocket out of control and can result in unpaid medical bills which wind up costing everyone more across the board.

One thing for sure is that the current system is failing and that someone needs to fix it. That's easier said than done. The system needs to be designed for people who are ill despite their income level and for children whose parents can't afford health insurance. With unemployment at a high level, some people are desperate for a change.

There will definitely be additional changes coming down the road but there is little light being shed on what these changes will entail. Overall, most individuals are already dissatisfied with the government's mishandling of the health care system and the current health care reform proposals. It is unclear as to what the future of health care in America will hold but across the board most American's are pessimistic to say the least.
