Health Care Coverage Is Less Risky Than No Coverage

Health can never be taken for granted; as it is, it seems like there are entities that go out of their way just to make it hard for the common people. It is a sad day when scores of patients, would let themselves become guinea pigs, just to get the life saving help they need to survive another day. Just because experimental treatments are available, you still might not get that help, depending on what the insurance company decided to do.

Sometimes even a doctor's recommendation will not help you overcome this hurdle, even if there is some experimental help. It will still have to be cleared by the insurance company, and sometimes they can just be very frustrating to deal with. This also raises another question; why aren't at least some of these alternative treatments not covered by insurance?

It is not a very well hidden secret that some International treatment centers are years ahead of the FDA's attempt to stop cutting edge new treatment; even though there is proof that is works and is less harmful than some treatments they have approved. If you are unfortunate enough to have some form of cancer, and nothing seems to be working, if you are normal you will take the risk in hopes that it will work. Not knowing the long term side effects hasn't stopped them from approving other very toxic medical treatments and medications.

You should keep in mind that should your insurance company pay for alternative treatment for you, there might be some strict guidelines that must be followed. This might give them control over who will receive what treatments and what they will pay for on your behalf. Doctor's and medical offices are trying to relieve some of the misery and hopelessness of previously ill patients, that cannot afford prescription medication, by collecting unused prescriptions and give them to those who need them, but cannot afford them.

Health insurance is something that everyone needs but it is not a guarantee of coverage as most charges are completely left to the insurance company's discretion. One thing is for sure a life without medical insurance is a life with much financial risk and understanding this is the key to secure living. While of course you will choose to pay your health insurance premiums you also must make sure that you set aside some money just in case because medical expenses for treatment of cancer can really add up quickly.
