Have Your Try These Organic Natural Skin Care Ingredients?

Would you consider distilled water organic natural skin care? Just curious, because I was looking at a website that offers organic natural skin care products and while some of the ingredients looked good, the primary ingredient in all of them was distilled water. Perhaps it depends on your definition.

Organics may refer to chemical compounds that contain carbon. Theres no carbon in H20.
The term can also be used to refer to matter that has come from a living organism capable of decay, such as a plant. Distilled water doesnt fit into that category. If distilled properly, it contains no living organisms.

I checked the many other definitions and conditions under which the term is used and distilled water fits loosely into the category of organic chemistry, but Im still not sure why it is included in organic natural skin care creams, lotions, sprays and gels. Well, at least it wont hurt you like some others.

A hand cream that is listed under organic natural skin care contains Titanium Dioxide, a sun block that has recently been listed by the International Agency for Research on Cancer as a possible carcinogen. That means it may cause cancer in humans.

In another organic natural skin care facial cream, one of the ingredients was alcohol which is drying, strips away the natural acid mantle, making you more vulnerable to bacteria, molds and viruses. It is believed that using alcohol on the face and hands may cause some of the brown spots that you often see in older people. Many experts say that it causes premature aging of the skin.

Another, supposedly organic natural skin care lotion that I found contained benzyl benzoate. It is an organic chemical compound, but it is also an allergen. It is typically found in perfumes.

I saw one ingredient listed as natural fragrance. If one of the ingredients has a natural scent, why would anyone list it as a separate ingredient? It would seem to me that if it is listed separately, it is an added fragrance and thats different.

Fragrances can be irritating. They dont belong in organic natural skin care systems, unless it is the subtle scent that accompanies something like avocado extract. As I was shopping, I found that many companies only list the active compounds and that mostly the primary ingredient is inactive water.

There are some wonderful organic natural skin care compounds, but you really have to look for them. If you want something effective, then the primary compounds in the cream or lotion should be an active compound not water.

An organic natural skin care system should contain things like passion fruit extract because it is rich in a fatty acid and its structure is similar to that of human-skin; olive oil because it is so much like the skins own oils and wakame, a type of kelp, because it prevents the loss of hyaluronic acid, a protein vital for creating new skin cells.

In short, an organic natural skin care solution should only contain ingredients that are safe enough to eat. Shop carefully.
