When you visit Wikipedia site, you will see almost every article has multiple links which go to the internal pages of the same site when clicked. You should make good use of nofollow tag to control flow of link juice to your internal pages. The nofollow tag is an html tag which is added to the links for which we do not want the page rank to be passed on to the linked page. The point is, you should add nofollow tag to links leading to pages which do not require ranking in the search engines like contact us page or about us page. This will prevent wastage of the ranking power on unimportant pages.

Nofollow tag is not added to links which are meant to pass on page rank to the destination page. This will funnel page ranking power to the pages you want to rank well in search engines.

If you are using Wordpress for your site, you can use some plugins which automatically link certain keywords to the relevant internal pages. This cross linking of pages is similar to that used by Wikipedia.

There is another plugin which shows a list of related posts at the bottom of all posts on your site. This also is a very easy way to develop internal link structure of your site.

If your site is themed and well linked internally, you have a higher chance of ranking well in the search engines.
