Have Chiropractic Marketing Work For Your Practice

By:

There are numerous chiropractic clinics that would like to have additional clients and be put in a position where they are highly visible to their target demographic. Some doctors take the leap and attempt to accomplish all of their advertising efforts themselves (or have someone in-house do it). Others have a friend or acquaintances promote their office for free or relatively cheap. Lastly, there are those who enlist the services of an ad agency, which in most cases is the best choice, as they should have experience and a track record in reaching your clients with their chiropractic marketing efforts.

One thing to keep in mind for this niche industry is that it really matters how much experience the agency has in advertising for the chiropractor business. It is a different animal, so to say, and you need to understand where patients are looking for services, what they want to hear and read, and what techniques are most effective to increase leads. It isn't the same as promoting any other local business--it takes savvy and proficiency of multidisciplinary practices and pain management centers to achieve true results.

The following items are some of the questions you should ask any type of marketing agency if you are interested in chiropractic advertising:

- How many years of experience do you have in promoting clinics in this industry?
- Do you have any example clients that you can show me?
- How do you measure success (i.e., call tracking, analytics, conversions, etc.)?
- What services do you offer that other agencies don't?
- How long will it take for my practice to start seeing success (i.e., additional clients)?
- In all of your experience, what have you learned works the best for this industry?
- Will your marketing efforts be sustainable and how?

Although the list above isn't all-inclusive, it is a great start to get a feel for the agencies' aptitude, strategy, and confidence in promoting your practice. Don't be afraid to ask questions or politely challenge any claims, as it is a big decision to allow another company the opportunity and responsibility to build and handle your clinic's brand. They will ultimately control your short-term (and in some cases long-term) destiny and it is imperative that due diligence is completed before you commit to anything.

Taking the time to question the advertising agencies you're considering hiring will prove to be one of the best decisions chiropractors make on the business side.
