Hartford Used Audi S6 Drivers Proud Of Audi's Telematics Awards

By:

Telematics is not a term that most of us can define off the top of our heads. So when we read that Audi is being given awards for its telematics system should we be impressed? Is this something that affects us one way or another? It sounds like a term that was inadvertently left out of Greased Lightning Its systematic, its automatic, its hydromatic, - its telematic?

Telematics might, in fact, increase the cool factor of your vehicle to the point where John Travolta will show up and start singing, but more likely it will just make it easier for you to drive, running the navigation, communications and technology systems and tying them together for the ultimate ride. Hartford used Audi S6 dealers cant wait to share the latest system with customers.

Well, Audi multimedia interface (MMI) has a telematic system and its impressive enough to have received the award for Best Embedded Telematics Navigation Product at the Telematics Awards this year. (Just in case you missed it at 2 a.m. on the auto network. It got bumped from prime time by the Emmys.)

Hartford used Audi TTS dealers are proud of this award because they know the value of Audis telematics system. Customers are beginning to appreciate it as well. The new telematics system in 2010 integrates Google functionality through Google Earth, a first in the telematics market.

The telematics awards have been around for nine years now (Did we even know telematics had been around that long?) and they are awarded by an independent jury of experts. Where these experts are found, I dont know, but trust me, they know their telematics! And we probably dont need to know how it works, just which buttons to push to make it work.

The chief MMI architect for Audi AG Mathias Halliger said of the award, We are very pleased to be recognized for our joint efforts in what we believe to be the leading edge of the infortainment arena.

Audis MMI is not that different from several others on the market in its basic offerings of services like traffic reports, shopping and dining possibilities and directions. But it is able to adapt to third party software, so in-car apps may be just around the corner. Hartford Audi S6 customers will love seeing this technology develop.

Audis MMI is unique in that it is heavily integrated with Google and will continue to allow more interactive and interpersonal applications and experiences for the Audi driver and passengers. It may not be long before you and your friends (or your mom) can leave virtual notes and shopping lists in each others cars. The possibilities are almost endless. Dealers of Hartford used Audi TTS hope so.
