Happiness Starts From Inside

Life is not always delightful. Quite often when things start going completely wrong, I look around and see other individuals who's lives seem to be proceeding just splendidly. How are they accomplishing that?. Are they dealing with things more effectively? It's possible they know something that I don't know.

So, how do we achieve total happiness?

The first step is to completely love yourself. Loving yourself means to realize that we're imperfect beings, but you must have great willpower to be able to find ways to start self-improvement within and be able to start to transform.

Genuine happiness also refers to comfort. When you are comfortable with your family and friends, about the job you do, how you look and feel, where you reside, the stuff you now have - truly, you already have the answer to the question "how can you be really happy?."

I really believe that life is about striving and failing, winning and losing. These are a genuine part of life and must be used as part of our natural learning process. Failing, in anyone's life, is as crucial as air and is no reason to keep us from being happy.

How then can you be actually happy in spite of it all? Honestly speaking... every time you put energy into increasing the level of quality of your life, whether it's assisting someone, taking your dog for a walk, working on your business concerns, or reading a motivational book, life gives you an equivalent jumpstart.

Genuine happiness isn't always about being the very best looking one of the group, driving the best car, getting the top award, or getting that pay raise. Sometimes, the biggest rewards in life don't always go to the most successful, the best, the strongest and maybe not even the ideal person.

So, how do we become truly happy? Every one has his own meaning. Happiness for a writer may mean writing a best-selling book. Happiness for a prizefighter may be a knock-out punch. Happiness for a impoverished person may mean a roof over his head. Happiness for a small business man may mean beating a competitor.

So, really now, what is genuine happiness? Simple. You don't really need all the finest things in life. Its all about creating the best out of every single situation. When you find yourself chuckling at your goofs and intending to do even better next time, you are firing up within yourself the capacity to hang in and that will stay with you throughout life. You will find yourself ready to try again and again - that will most certainly make you a genuinely happy person.

When you can genuinely accept yourself and your own failings, you've already started the journey to becoming genuinely happy. For as long as you know how to love and accept others, you will also be cherished and accepted ten-fold.

And so - "How can we end up genuinely happy?" I assume that if we can always keep a sense of humor about our well-being and our everyday life and not get too serious about things, then we can kick back and enjoy life - even our slip ups and out short comings. Most of us don't grasp that the greatest use of laughter is chuckling at ourselves.

In that case you're not just completely happy and joyful ... you are making many others happy as well and without a doubt, you're also helping to MAKE TODAY'S WORLD AN EVEN BETTER PLACE!
