The strategies you employ in your paintball game will often depend on how many people are on each paintball team. Many games involve three players on each time. The strategies used in three-on-three games are not too difficult to implement, and also work well with bigger teams. Each team should have one of the three players act as an attacker. The goal of the attacker is simply to annihilate members of the other team as effectively as possible. In the meantime, the two other players have the goal of protecting both the attacker and location or object being defended, as well as assisting the attacker when possible. It is not unlike a basketball game where you have guards, centers, and forwards.

As you practice paintball, one of the most beneficial ways to spend your time is to participate in target practice. Exercises for target practice can be as simple as setting up soda cans a long distance away and knocking them down one by one. As with any sport, practice will go best if you master the basics before moving on. You should start either kneeling or standing and shooting at one single target as you focus on accuracy. Once you have done several rounds of shooting in this manner, proceed to more complicated methods of target practice such as shooting a target while running or shooting at a moving target. These more complicated maneuvers are the ones you will be using when you actually play the game. Some of the best practices that can be done for paintball are repetitive. Take the skills you want to accomplish one at a time until you have mastered each of them; but be sure to review the basics periodically.

How to Get Paintball into the Olympics

Many paintball players feel that paintball should be a sport played in the Olympic Games. It is a sport in every sense, involving both skill and strategy. To some paintball athletes, several of the other Olympic sports seem easy in comparison. However, these sports have something that paintball has yet to accomplish, and that is international recognition and governing. There must be some sort of organization that defines and regulates the sport. Also, there must be a standardized, accepted set of rules. Paintball has not yet achieved this; its popularity, though significant, is mostly in America. The truth of the matter is, until paintball does receive this type of study in the international realm, it will never attain Olympic stature.

Smart Clothes for Paintball

There are a few things to consider when you are getting dressed for a paintball game. If you want to make sure you do not end up getting bruised, wear pants and a long-sleeved shirt. If you want to be covert, wear dark clothing or clothing that blends into the scenery. Remember paintball marks do leave stains, so whatever you do wear to game, make sure that you are not attached to it are willing to let go. You do not want your clothes to keep you from having a good time, so dress smart for the weather and for physical exercise.
