Taser guns work by shooting out two Taser probes that are about 15 feet apart. The two probes are electronically charged, which means that when they reach their target it produces a sharp electrical shock that stuns the person. The stun can last up to 30 seconds; this might not seem long, but enough for a person to escape from its attacker.

One of the advantages of purchasing a Taser gun is that it can give you enough time to escape from your attacker. Even though the gun has a high voltage, still it cannot cause any harm or injury to a person; hence, this makes it a good self-defense weapon. Making your attacker electrically shocked would give you enough time to get away and call the police. Another advantage of the Taser gun is that it can still stun your attacker even if you miss the target. As the attacker comes at you, you can place the gun against them, which gives them the same effect when you hit the target.

However, there are issues in using Taser Guns. Others believe that Taser guns can cause heart attack to some people that is why these guns are being avoided. The worst situation would be is that when wrong people can have this kind of gun and uses it for bad intentions and wrong reasons such as when an attacker stuns his victim using the Taser gun.

Keeping safe is one our priorities that is why many people purchase this kind of self-defense weapons. They are extremely effective for these purposes. When using them, you must also take caution. Apart from this, you should always bear in mind that you can only use them if and only if the situation calls for it and not when somebody is getting on your nerves. People are tempted to use guns even if the situation is still under control. You can be responsible enough in handling Taser guns if you are aware of these circumstances and if you own one, you can now be more careful in handling it.
