You would be surprised to know that sage and rosemary can be used to cover gray hair. Also it wonderfully darkens and provides good conditioning to your hair at the same time. Prepare infusion from rosemary and sage herbs. Use equal parts of sage and rosemary and then boil them in 2 cups of water. After shampooing, pour this solution over hair and massage gently.

You would be happy to know that vinegar, lavender and peppermint are some herbal products that can add shine to your hair. Add cup of fresh mint leaves with 1 tsp fresh lavender leaves. Boil this leaves mixture in 1 cup of boiling water. Now add cup apple cider vinegar. Allow the mixture to cool down and then use it as a final rinse after shampoo. After few minutes, wash hair with water.

You can use potatoes to rinse your hair to darken hair and condition it at the same time. Simmer 1 cup potato peels over medium heat for 15 minutes. Strain and then let it cool down. Now add 2 drops of essential rosemary oil. After shampooing, massage this rinse into wet hair. Do not rinse out of hair.

To lighten hair in herbal way, simmer 4 tbsp of chamomile in 2/3 cup of boiling water. Allow it to cool down. Brush the chamomile into your hair. It not only lightens your hair but adds lot of shine too.

Lemon is another natural ingredient for lightening your hair. Add 4 tbsp of lemon juice to 2/3 cup of cool water. Gently massage in your hair and then leave it till it gets dry. Later wash it off with water.

Add cup chopped rhubarb to 1 cup of boiling water and then allow this mixture to cool down. Strain. Now brush this mixture into your hair. Wash after few minutes.
