First impressions are critically important so to give you a better chance of success this guide to picking up women will help. You can't make a good first impression fifteen minutes after you've seen or been introduced to each other! Some experts talk about the three second rule which may be putting the pressure on a bit but it's a good way to think!

So how do you make an impression in just three seconds? As with most things preparation and groundwork are the first things to consider. Make the best of yourself by dressing smartly, being presentable and using good aftershave.

So now you are looking good, smelling good and making a statement about yourself you've got to actually begin approaching women. To begin with learn to smile at women in a way that's natural and not forced. Obviously you need to be feeling good so that you can smile naturally. Then practice and be ready for the fact that some will not smile back, maybe they're involved and don't want to give you any encouragement, just accept the fact some will, some won't, it doesn't say anything about you or your attractiveness.

You probably don't need a guide to picking up women to point out there's no point smiling at the back of someone's head so get in front of them if possible, the side at worst, as soon as you get eye contact, smile and say something. Not quite anything, but say something or the moment is lost. Don't resort to "what's a nice girl like you..." kind of line or "do you come here often?" You don't have to be a brilliant comic, although making her laugh would be a huge step in the right direction, but at least be natural and confident. Say something that's pertinent to the location or what's happening, what could be more normal and friendly than that?

Keep the conversation flowing at all costs, prolonged silences are embarrassing and definitely have no place in a guide to picking up women. It's possible to keep the conversation going however with a few simple techniques. Ask her something that she can't answer with a yes no answer, such as "what's your opinion on...?" when she's answered follow up on what she said and when that has run its course have a new topic lined up. Ask her about herself and do listen to her answers. Once you get to know her and assuming you like her then you can tell her about yourself. Don't tell her everything, leave some things unsaid so she has a reason to agree to another date and now you know something about her you can be selective about what you tell her in order to modify what you tell her to suit her likes.
