In the lovely village of Orford, close to Aldeburgh, is The Jolly Sailor, Orford. This is a wonderful 16th Century inn that has character and charm in abundance. Within is a well-stocked bar plus various areas for you and your guests to dine, including the Thames Room with 17th Century flooring. The food served at The Jolly Sailor is just as traditional as the building itself, and specialises in locally caught seafood dishes such as beer battered fish, sea bass, in-season mussels, crabs and lobster. You and your guests are sure to have a jolly time when celebrating your wedding reception at The Jolly Sailor!

The Sorrel Horse Inn, Shottisham (near Woodbridge), is a 14th Century inn, rich in history with many tales soaked into the fabric of its walls. The Cherry Tree Inn, Belchamp St Paul (near Sudbury), is a lovely village inn featuring a bar and restaurant, and is highly popular with the "locals that linger". You could opt for a cosy winter wedding reception, complete with an open fireplace, real ales and hearty, warming meals, or a summer reception in the garden behind the inn, with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and a Games Area for the children - plus a selection of light and sparkling wines for the adults! Whatever the season, The Cherry Tree will provide you with a collection of memories to treasure forever.

Inns don't come more traditional than The Griffin Inn, Yoxford. This medieval inn offers the highest standards of hospitality - great food, a wide selection of ales and wines, and lovely en suite rooms for bed & breakfast stays.
