There are two excellent honeymoon cottage options available from one owner in the peaceful village of Orford: Burnt Cottage & Quay View

Burnt Cottage is a private and cosy cottage on a peaceful lane with very little traffic, making it an ideal spot for honeymooners who are seeking a relaxing stay after having been through all the excitements of getting married. This charming cottage is tastefully decorated in a country style. There is a King-size bed in one of the three bedrooms and lovely views of the pretty and secluded garden.

The kitchen and bathroom are both fully equipped with all mod cons such as double oven, dishwasher, microwave, bath & power-shower. Other delights include a beautiful Inglenook fireplace with a fabulous large log stove in the sitting room, a large French farmhouse table in the dining room, and in the garden there is an outdoor table which would make for a very romantic, candle-lit, al fresco supper. Finally, there is a space for off-street parking, and Burnt Cottage is available for hire throughout the entire year.

Quay View, as its name suggests, has glorious views of the Quay and the Estuary that honeymooners can enjoy together from every room and outside in the lovely garden - the sun setting over the Quay while the happy couple share a glass of bubbly on the front terrace is particularly romantic. The wonderful views don't stop here, however - from the back bedroom there are breath-taking views of the ancient Orford Castle, a sight not to be missed.

Quay View has been decorated to a very high standard and comes complete with all modern facilities to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible, plus special added extras such as an open working fireplace in the lounge that the bride and groom can snuggle up in front of. The decor has a fresh, light & airy feel, making the cottage the perfect accompaniment to follow any Beach Wedding on the Suffolk Coast. Like Burnt Cottage, Quay View is available for hire throughout the year and there is a space for the parking of two cars.

The Old Mill, Woodbridge, is an ancient converted mill on the River Debden and surrounded by a big garden and a lovely wooded area, ensuring your stay will be a tranquil experience. The cottage can accommodate up to 10 people on a self-catering basis, so the newlyweds will have a vast amount of room to themselves! The beach is within 10 miles, but should you want to stay closer to home, the Mill has its own golf course which is free for guests, and a canoe and rowing boat are available for hire to take out on the river.

Bay Tree Cottage, Eye in the small-yet-popular village of Redgrave, is the ultimate in romantic hideaways. The Grade 2 Listed, 17th Century building has been lovingly renovated to a modern standard whilst retaining all of its historical character and charm - including beamed walls and an open fireplace, plus a vaulted ceiling in one of the bedrooms. The cottage is situated in a peaceful lane, and overlooks the pretty fields from all angles. Should the honeymooners want to break their solitude for the day, the towns of Diss, Bury St. Edmunds, Southwold, Aldeburgh, Walberswick and Dunwich are all just a short drive away.

The Lodge Doves Barn is lovely self catering cottage located in the peaceful village of Badley, close to Needham Market. Here, honeymooners can escape from it all for a relaxing and romantic honeymoon together. The Lodge has a stylish interior featuring all mod cons, and there are glorious views of the surrounding Suffolk countryside from the bedroom windows. Outside there is a private patio, ideal for a romantic al fresco meal for two, plus a pretty garden featuring a hot tub - the perfect way to celebrate your marriage, whatever the season!

Suffolk Cottage Holidays, based in Orford, have a huge collection of luxury cottages available for hire, ranging from the traditional to the modern, and all are located in Suffolk's most picturesque areas on the coast and in the countryside. Suffolk Holiday Cottages have an extremely user-friendly website, which includes current availability and online booking, allowing you to find the perfect property for your honeymoon.

If you want to truly pamper yourselves on honeymoon in a Suffolk cottage, The Old Railway Arms, Cavendish, is the ideal choice for you. This converted pub not only has five stylish bedrooms, two bathrooms, a modern kitchen & dining area and a large lounge, but there is also a beautiful private landscaped garden complete with hot tub, and the Cavendish Health Centre adjoins the property. The bride and groom may book a relaxing therapy treatment at the health club, or take advantage of the temporary membership of Foxearth Leisure only a mile down the road.

Best of Suffolk, based in Aldeburgh, offer a wonderful selection of stylish cottages along the Suffolk coast and countryside. The majority of the cottages feature chic, modern interiors and furniture, and are a real treat to stay in. The properties range in size from one to five bedrooms and many are available for short breaks as well as longer holidays.
