Gta 4 Ps3 Guide

Since the first game was released, the success of the Grand Theft Auto series has been one outstanding game after another, and it has proven to be one of the most well-known gaming franchises ever created. With each title released, it is a great leap not only for the franchise, but for video gaming itself. There's no question that GTA is up there when it comes to the Sandbox genre, and those who've played it knows the reason why. The ninth installment off the series, GTA 4 ties together the loose ends of the story that was unveiled in GTA 3. However, the series has given gamers with an entirely new experience with each game, and fans can certainly expect the same with GTA IV.

A common denominator among every GTA story has been that it is, to a certain extent, highly absorbing and out of this world. However, with GTA 4, it aims to take the storyline to a whole new vantage point. With Niko, an ex-soldier who tries to escape from his troubled past, as the main focus of the story, players will join him in his quest to overcome anything that awaits him in the equally grimy Liberty City. With a rugged look to him, Niko feels a lot like home in Liberty City and leaves a lot to do around the city. However, GTA differs in the use of the character in that there is more depth into the motives behind the character's actions, which makes playing this game all the more gripping. If in previous GTA games you have engaged yourself in mindless rampages, with Niko you have to remain focused on the objective at hand and remain true to that.

As for the other characters (even random ones) that are in GTA 4, they have improved significance as far as storyline is concerned in this game. When Niko makes certain decisions, he will be forced to put into consideration certain characters and how that decision will be beneficial (or not) to him later on in the game. Not only that, the relationships you form in this game is a vital element in the overall gameplay, as well as the decisions you have to make, which will require careful thought from you.

With Liberty City serving as the backdrop for the game, it should be pointed out that the game could have not looked any better. Not only will you have access to various locations within the game, but everything looked like much effort has been rendered in order to achieve such perfection in details.

If you thought you've heard enough, we are just getting started with this GTA IV feature. It has used the previous GTA games as a launching pad for a much better and improved gameplay system. One feature that probably seen the most improvement in this one is the combat system. Rockstar decided to improve on this in order to infuse more sophistication and excitement into the combat of this game, as well as to be at par with some of today's best shooters. There is still the free-aim feature, but the new lock-on feature will surely improve your accuracy. By setting your aim on an opponent and locking on to them, not one bullet will now go to waste. And once you've done that, there's nothing more left to do but press that button. The cover system is also new to this game. You can make your character go behind or take cover from the nearest object by pressing on R1. It is recommended to use this feature when confronted with multiple enemies and you would be able to effectively shield yourself from any possible attack. What this new feature does is that you can minimize the any form of damage that can possibly get your character killed. With these new features, the combat system has been definitely revised to a whole new depth and definitely upgrades the level of gaming experience.

If that sounds impressive, then GTA IV's all-new in-car combat system will further heighten the thrill that comes with this game. GTA IV has definitely been made more exciting with this new combat system that promises to be just as effective as on-foot combat and yet a whole lot more exciting. You can drive your car while knocking down your enemies at the same time. Or if you want to free-aim out the window while driving, you still can. But it can be a daunting task sometimes having to make sure that you don't crash while you're doing your best to hit the enemies. All these features are aimed at continuing with the reputation of GTA over the years, and that is providing good, quality in-game combat.

One important thing that needs to be tackled when talking about GTA IV is the mission structure. Because the previous GTA's have been proven, this game carries on the winning formula. With each mission, you will have all of Liberty City to explore and you can be assured that each mission will offer a unique, but equally challenging, experience. The missions in GTA IV are not just action-packed, there are more to expect from it especially in terms of novelty and intensity.

Once you arrive in Liberty City, you will now have Roman's phone. Then, you can use that as your control panel and organizer for anything that needs to be done in the game. Through your phone, you can receive calls or messages for new missions, as well as access the multiplayer features, that will help you advance in this game. With the use of the phone as your main control panel in this game, players will feel more involved into the world of the game instead of stopping to send out specific commands.

Also, an exciting new addition to this new GTA game is the online multiplayer feature. This will enable you to share the wonderful experience of playing GTA IV with 15 other players and this will alter the way you have anticipated GTA IV to be. Sooner or later, GTA IV will earn the title of king of Multiplayer because of its tremendous new features that has continued to innovate and redefine gaming as we know it.
