LED Grow Lights are quickly becoming the new craze, but how do you know you're getting the most for your money? After all, nearly every company selling LED Grow Lights claims they're the best, so how do you determine who truly has the best technology?
Grow Stealth LED sticks out as a leader in their field, with a product and price that are hard to beat. Of all the LED Grow Light companies in the world, Grow Stealth LED is the only one to focus on the Quantum Science of plants, and not simply the photosynthetic science. This level of science is currently only understood by University Professors, large BioTech firms, and government agencies such as NASA, but now the sophistication of this science has been fine-tuned into a commercialized LED Grow Light.
The term Quantum Efficiency refers to the number of photons required for the formation of one oxygen molecule in photosynthesis, which is a byproduct of CO2, Water, and Light. The science of quantum efficiency studies how each wavelength of light affects the oxygen conversion rate of the plant on its own, and combined with other wavelengths. While many scientists have long believed that plants absorb little to no light in the 500-600nm (green) region of PAR, new research proves that this region plays a vital role in growth times, yield, and photosynthetic efficiency. In fact, while green tests very low on the photosynthetic scale, on the quantum efficiency scale it ranks the highest.
Research published by NASA verifies that when all 3 regions of PAR are balanced properly (400-500nm, 500-600nm, & 600-700nm), flowering times and yields can be dramatically altered. In one in-depth study featuring tomatoes, scientists were able to reduce the entire growth cycle from 130 days to 100 days, with a subsequent increase in yields of 30%, just by altering these ratios! Grow Stealth LED claims their lights utilize this science to produce similar results for your plants, but do they really?
Several months ago I purchased a
GS600 Quantum Pro-Bloom LED Grow Light from Grow Stealth LED, as I wanted to test their claims and see if they held any weight. I waited about 2 weeks until a cardboard box showed up at my door with "Made in China" written on the side. I quickly brought it inside to inspect my new toy, and was immediately impressed at the overall build quality of the light. The Quantum LED Grow Lights are very sturdy, heavy-duty, and feel like they are certainly built-to-last. Upon turning the light on I was immediately blinded, so I grabbed a pair of sunglasses to look more closely. I noticed that there were several LED's appearing to be unlit, so I contacted Donnie at
Grow Stealth LED who informed me that the LED's I was referring to were far-red, which the human eye cannot see. Hearing this put my mind at ease, so I hung up my light to see what it could do.
The
Quantum LED Grow Lights emit a very interesting spectrum, which I find very appealing to my eyes. While it uses no white LED's, the spectrum this light creates is very much white, allowing you to see the full health and beauty of your plants. I'm a medical marijuana patient, and as such I bought the Pro-Bloom option because it claims increased resin/thc production, and faster flowering times for my plants. Within 2 weeks of hanging the light I noticed my plants were vegging at a faster rate than I had ever seen, at least twice as fast as my 1000W metal halide. The plants were also stacking nodes much closer together, and there were far more of them on my LED plants than on the same plants under MH. I was stunned. Normally I veg for 4 weeks with my metal halide, but with the Quantum 600 Pro-Bloom, my plants were ready in 3.
Once the switch to 12/12 began, flowering initiated very promptly. Within 3 days time there were pistils beginning to form on my LED plants, while the HPS plants took until day 7 to show the same. It seemed even at this point the Quantum LED Grow Light was actually living up to its claims, but we weren't quite there yet. Just as week 8 rolled around, the plants under the LED Grow Light were finished. I couldn't believe my eyes, as the same plants under HPS took until mid week 9 before they were ready. It is still hard for me to believe even after seeing it for myself, but the Quantum 600 Pro-Bloom from Grow Stealth LED vegged and flowered faster than my HID! It really did perform as it claims.
Growing time however, is not the only factor one is to look at, as yield and quality are both equally important. My 1000W HPS produced 689 grams of dry, quality medicine in a 4x4 area. While the Grow Stealth LED light is only rated for a 3x4 area, I pushed it to a 4x4 area for my test with no issues. From that 4x4 area the Quantum 600 Pro-Bloom produced 658 grams. I certainly cannot blame the LED Grow Light for the yield difference however, as I've grown for many years with HID and this was my first time using LED. The GS600 Pro-Bloom also consumes only 550W of power, while my 1000W HPS with ventilation fan consumes over 1300W. The quality of the medicine under LED was also superior to my HPS. I found it to have a better aroma, flavor, and an overall better high.
In summary, the Quantum 600W Pro-Bloom LED Grow Light from
Grow Stealth LED lives every bit up to its claims. This light reduced my overall growth cycle (veg and flower) by just over 2 weeks, kept yields the same while consuming 60% less power, and produced better quality marijuana than my 1000W HPS. The Grow Stealth LED light also produces far less heat, causing far less stress to your plants. After having the opportunity to test the GS600 Pro-Bloom from Grow Stealth LED, I bought two more to replace my 2, 1000W HID's. I was so happy with their product I offered my writing services to Donnie at Grow Stealth LED, and now have the opportunity to share how awesome this company is with the rest of the world. If you buy a LED Grow Light from Grow Stealth LED, you will be shocked at how well their lights perform. There's simply no going back to HID or any other light, once you've had the opportunity to experience
Quantum LED Grow Lights for yourself.
