Greywater Systems Silently And Efficiently Collecting And Distributing Grey Water For Free

By:

When a new building is being designed and constructed, modern architects and planners are incorporating greywater systems with which to harvest rain water, storm water, and water from showers and sinks for non-potable reuse. In older buildings, its also fairly simple to install systems for collecting grey water systems that dont need licenses and, once installed, continue working long into the future with little maintenance and attention.

Fresh, potable water (in other words, drinking water) is quickly becoming a threatened resource not just in less developed nations but here on our own doorstep in the United States. Water shortages dont just affect arid and dry areas such as Nevada, New Mexico ,and Texas in the south and west but also the large conurbations in the north, east, and midwest.

Faster-than-average population growth in the states mentioned, combined with dropping aquifer levels all across the United States and rainfall averages decreasing, mean that drought conditions usually associated with news reports from underdeveloped nations can also be found on our own doorstep.
Combine this with an aging and inefficient water distribution infrastructure, water promises to be to the 21st century what oil was to the 20th". Millions of gallons of perfectly good potable water are wasted daily: flushed down toilets, emitted from sprinklers and hoses watering gardens, golf greens, and fairways, and irrigating agricultural land, as well as being used to clean cars in car washes and driveways of residential homes and for conditioning the air in buildings.
And it costs money!

The cost isnt just to the bottom line of businesses; the cost spreads much more widely, to the sustainability of the local environment and community. Because all communities are interconnected more than ever here in the 21st century, this needs to be priority for anyone involved in building maintenance, management, and sustaining a successful business well into the future. Any measures taken to protect our common futures should be applauded and rewarded.
The rewards from having an efficient, safe, and manageable water harvesting system in place, complete with an independent distribution infrastructure that leaves potable water for its primary use drinking and consumption go beyond saved money on utility bills. However small a step it may seem to protect and promote a sustainable water enviroment, each positive small step forward is effectively a giant leap forward.
