Great Foods To Eat For Burning Fat

By:

What you eat will impact how quick you are at burning fat, and how long you be able to stay thin. Specific foods should be eaten regularly to be successful at burning fat. Foods from all groups are listed, and each food has a lot of nutritional value for the amount of calories. Here are five fat burning foods that will help you stay healthy and lose weight.

Whole grain bread is number one. If you stay away from carbs, some diets claim you will lose weight. The statement is wrong and dangerous for your health. The Bible calls bread the staff of life. Instead of eliminating carbs, aim to reduce them to a healthy amount. Most doctors agree that 50-60% of your calories should be carbs. Whole grain bread is quite nutritious, and not evil as some suggest. For breakfast, try replacing two slices of white toast with 1/2 a cup of steel cut oatmeal or whole grain cereal, such as Kashi. You will get triple the vitamins, amino acids and roughage for the same amount of calories. You will also feel full longer because your body will have something to digest.

Fish is number two. Eat it at least three times per week. Many major medical associations recommend it because it is low in bad fat, high in protein, and also provides omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3 fatty acids are some of the major building blocks of your cells. If the body does not obtain these acids from nutrition, it will attempt to create them by breaking down other fatty acids. This is not the most efficient way for your body to go about things. By providing Omega 3 through diet you will be able to heal the damage done by previous improper dieting. Fish has fewer calories than most meats and is more nutritious. Try switching to fish. You will see benefits for sure.

Spinach is number three. It has only 13 calories per serving, 2 grams of which are carbohydrates. Note, the serving size here is 2 cups. Chopped raw spinach is one of the lowest calorie sources of nutrition you can eat. Spinach contains folic acid, manganese, beta-carotene, protein, lutein, magnesium, vitamin C, and vitamin K. Eat it in salads, steamed, or sauteed in olive oil for a different taste. Any of these methods of preparation will give you the nutritional benefits.

Olive Oil is number four. The body needs healthy fat. It is needed so the biochemical reactions within your body take place optimally. Olive oil is mostly a mono-unsaturated fat. This oil contains antioxidants, flavonoids, beta-carotene, and vitamin E. One tablespoon contains 125 calories, and it will go great on a spinach salad. Add a little lemon juice and some garlic to have a meal with less than 150 calories. Try this healthy fuel for your body.

Last but not least is grapefruit. Pink grapefruit has only 80 calories per average size fruit. Each fruit contains vitamin C, lycopene, pectin, beta-carotene, and potassium. It is sweet and sour, which is different, but it is quite tasty. Try it for breakfast, or mix it in a salad with spinach. It will give the salad an extra punch, and raise the nutritient levels.

These five foods are really nutritious and will help you burn fat. All of them are healthy, low calorie foods. If you are wanting to burn fat, the most important thing you need to know is that you cannot eat one ingredient all the time. You must have variety, and consistently eat nutritious foods to ensure that you consume all of the essential nutrients you need each day. Good luck on your path to burning fat.
