One of the most notable first events within the history of Wolverhampton - West Midlands was not long after Prince Albert's passing, when Queen Victoria made a public appearance maybe the first since his passing, here for the unveiling of a honored statue of her dear Prince Albert.

Since then Charlie Chaplin made a debut here with his hilarious antics as did Sean Connery in a well based theater show.

Wightwick Manor is a delightfully historical relic that still looks grand today. It is a truly magnificent Victorian manor house built by a successful industrialist of the 19th century Mr. Theodore Mander.
