Graffiti Removal

By:

If you will check the history of graffiti, you will come to know that Greece is the place where it all started. In ancient Greece the images, pictures and other creativity was often posted on the buildings, houses, trains and cars. It was used as a mass media to convey the political messages. However, now it is being treated as one punishable offence by government. From here we can guess that it is referred to as a wall painting done by the sprays and paints. However, as the civic rules states it should be removed eventually. Graffiti removal is a practical process, which is dedicated to the cleanliness of the entire arena.

Why do we need to remove graffiti?

• For the benefit of the property: According to the government rules and regulations, graffiti causes the value of your property to drop dramatically.

• For the safety purposes: People become attracted to crime and it can create a wave in the area. It simply causes anti-political effects and gives rise to much bigger commotions in the society.

You can find a variety of government and non-government organizations that are taking on the responsibility of the graffiti removal process. In fact, they are very strict in their actions and handle the entire situation with the strictest measures.

Ways to initiate the removal process:

1. Utilizing the chemical process involves the application of a strong polar solvent or chlorinated hydrocarbon. Keeping all the environmental attributes in mind these chemicals are applied over the paintings. These chemicals react with the paint and help in the quick shedding process.

2. Pressure washing, on the other hand, removes the entire painting by the use of force.

3. Protective coating may be used over wooden walls in order to remove the paints. This one is the simplest of all the formulas that is available on the market.

Some factors that should be kept in mind during the graffiti removal process:

• The removal process may vary depending on the surface on which the graffiti is painted. If it is a wooden surface, it is better to use an over coat. On the other hand, if the surface is made of concrete then the chemical process will be your best option.

• When you are using the process on a wooden wall, you can use a wire brush along with the remover. You must use either a remover or acetone for complete removal of the graffiti.

• When you are removing the paint from a delicate surface, you must carefully scrape it off with a solvent. You will need to do the entire task gently or you may ruin the delicate surface underneath.

Graffiti is evil and it must be removed in order to have a better civic life!
