Graded Kitchen Appliances Are A Great Option For Updated Kitchens

When looking to update your kitchen, there are a number of options out there to save money. Such options include using refurbished cabinets, mixed run tiles for flooring, and graded kitchen appliance. Whereas many individuals will not consider graded kitchen appliances as they perceive them to be less than stellar products, they are mistakenly missing out on saving money with these great graded kitchen appliances. This is where you can get in there and save a lot of money at the expense of those not willing to do so. First it is important to understand exactly what a graded kitchen appliance is.

Generally speaking, these are appliances which were returned for one reason or another (did not fit the space available, did not match other appliances or dcor, etc.), had slight imperfections or box-damage, or maybe just because it was not shipped in its original packaging. In most cases it is due to a slight cosmetic imperfection, and in those instances the imperfection is located on the side or an area of the appliance that won't be noticeable if placed in a nook or against a wall. In any event, these kitchen appliances are often deeply discounted due to these imperfections, but other than a battle scar, work as well as other brand new appliances without similar imperfections.

Another great benefit to utilizing these graded kitchen appliances is that in addition to being deeply discounted for being graded, they typically offer the exact same warranties and rebates that non-graded appliances will offer. Even though they are brand new appliances themselves and should not provide the owner any issues out once installed, knowing one has the peace of mind of having that warranty, they can still rest easy knowing the graded appliances will be fixed in the same manner as their non-graded brethren. In addition, many times retailers and manufacturers will offer additional incentives to buying graded appliances. For example, my wife had been on me about getting a new digital camera for the holiday we were about to take. As fate would have it, our current refrigerator went out on us about a week before we were to depart. Upon a trip to the local appliance and electronics store, being the frugal shopper I am, we visited the graded appliance section.

There was a refrigerator that had a noticeable scratch on the side panel from where it had been damaged while being installed into a new home. Other than this noticeable mark, it was brand new with all of the warranties those still in the box offered. It was also 40% off of the standard price and the store was offering a sizeable gift card to their store as well which we then used to purchase my wife a digital camera for our holiday. The best part about it was the scratch was on the wall of the refrigerator that would be against our kitchen wall, so once in place, nobody would know it was even damaged.

Ultimately, yes there are some graded appliances with noticeable defects that you may not want to have in your kitchen. If cosmetic defects do not bother you or take away from the appeal of the kitchen, then graded appliances are a great way for you to save money. Remember, in most cases, these defects can be hidden, and the appliances themselves are still brand new. The next time you are in need of a new appliance, take a look at graded kitchen appliances as a great way to save money.
