Government Programs Aren't Always The Best Choice

By:

The way the government works can be a bit confusing at times and when you look at how they lay out their health care plan it can really leave you wondering what they are thinking. Under the current system the government will provide health care coverage to children and the elderly however if you are a middle aged person you are simply out of luck. It doesn't matter how poor you are or how sickly the government won't help you out.

It seems odd when you consider the middle age individuals are the ones who usually care for children and their aging family members. Without this group of individuals caring for those other groups the government will have a huge bill in order to provide healthcare for those groups. One would think the government would want to help the middle age to stay healthy so they can continue to care for the elderly and minors.

I mean if you really think about it if you manage to keep these two groups of people well but the middle aged people die off aren't you in essence creating more people who will become wards of the state and completely reliant on the government for every aspect of their health and well being. And really what are the chances that these children who have health care but grow up as wards of the state because their parents have died because they didn't get the health care they need will ever be productive human beings.

While it is important to provide for children, wouldn't it be wiser in this poor economy to provide medical care assistance to those who are presently responsible for taking care of the children. The government should take care of those who are taking care of others because if they are incapable of doing so then the government will have a bigger burden than they anticipated.

It really makes a person wonder what the U.S. government is really up to. If you think about it most of the things that they do really don't make much sense and in the area of health care the lines really become blurry. Leaving the United States government in charge of regulating the entire country's health care is simply not a good plan. Who knows what the future holds for all Americans? It is a little scary to see what waits around the bend.
