Parents are probably, next to God, in the eyes of their children. The image of God is associated in the image of either a mother or father. Consciously or not, they transmit their emotional heritage onto their descendants. As parents, we need to create discipline which is the most important role we have on earth. Children have a lasting impression of events and things. This makes them more vulnerable to certain forms of behavior which they adopt from their parents. The influence they receive in their childhood will follow them for the rest of their lives.
As the saying goes, Imitation is the best form of flattery, children tend to imitate some of the most influential figures in their lives. Family shapes the character of a child because he learns fastest by imitating a family member who is close to him. But we cannot deny the fact that we imitate those whom we admire. But many a times, parents dont even realize how awkward the situation becomes if they dont behave responsibly, fail to carry out their duties properly. Good parenting means helping them in homework as per their requirement, taking care, regular communication and spending quality time with them!
As parents are the role model, a child sees God in them; this is where the father plays a very important role in modeling his childs image of God. Parents who are always busy can determine the belief in child that he is worthless. A parent who doesnt communicate well may send a message into the childs heart that Im not important.
If the parent doesnt confirm his childs value, doesnt support and encourage him, the child unconsciously believes Im not acceptable the way I am. Consequently his immature thoughts may lead him into believing negatively in all fields of life. If a father grew up in a family where he inherited some of the negative patterns you are a victim; but as soon as you realize that mistake, you have the authority and the power to change, and it is not an excuse to repeat the same mistakes with your children.
As children try to grasp new ideas on all subjects taught in their school curriculum, without the proper experience to understand the concept, they turn to their parents who in turn take help from Internet. As internet plays an immense role in our lives, providing information, education and entertainment at the same time, parents try to refer to internet. So computers must be provided to children, so each and every child can take maximum advantage. If parents cannot afford new standard computer, they can opt to purchase a used computer or refurbished laptop; these cheap computers work excellently having same functionality as the new branded one. Further, used computers offer timely delivery at your doorstep, having all parts replaced, the kids find it comfortable and enjoyable to work.
Parents attitude show unconditional love, they deal with forgiveness, love and unconditional acceptance. We also need to renew our mind, to learn how to keep the balance between love and righteousness. This will create a healthy image and safety environment for our children.
