Golden Retriever Training

Canines arent like humans, therefore they need to learn in some other ways. Pet dogs do not come with human responses, and thus they dont operate using the principle of right or wrong. Alternatively, they perform on a principle of response, led by the actions people give them. Should their actions lead to a negative reaction from you, then they realize that what they are doing is incorrect and will stop doing that particular actions.

If your dog does something the right way, he must be lauded for it. If your Golden Retriever is listening to what you say and doing well, you need to reward him by using a treat or praise. Letting him know that he is doing great leads to a positive result. On the other hand, if he isnt listening to you or doing the complete opposite of what you say, you shouldnt reward him the least bit - but rather scold him with a stern NO.

As you are training a Golden Retriever, timing is a very powerful element. If your canine is doing something bad, you should not delay or wait to correct him. Doing so may give the wrong impression. Any time your Golden is doing something incorrectly, always correct him right then and there, so that he'll realize most certainly what he is doing wrong.

For example, if your Golden Retriever is chasing cars and trucks, you clearly should stop this practice before it gets it beyond control. The second you observe him doing this, always prevent him and let him understand hes wrong. In this way, he will realize that chasing vehicles is something he should not be doing. It could require a bit of time for your pet to recognize this, and youll have to maintain your ground and continue to correct him each time he is doing something that you simply dont approve of.

This kind of theory is similar to that of praise. If you notice a Golden Retriever doing something right, you should praise your pet instantly. If you dont praise him straight away and rather delay until he has stopped, he will think that you are praising him for stopping. To be on the safe side and get the best from your Golden, always praise him when he is behaving in the right way, and correct him when he is behaving in a negative way.

When you take your time and show tolerance with your Golden Retriever, you should not have any issues training him. The training task could need quite a bit of time, although it is very much worth it in the end. Once you have trained your Golden Retriever, he will react to what you say, and stay away from doing the acts he has been corrected for. Golden Retriever training is essential for your dog and will make him a lot better dog once he grows older.
