The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) test holds easier access, made so by hopeful business students worldwide. By fashionable demand, GMAT testing organizations the world over has passed the 500 mark. Under the management of Pearson VUE since 2006, The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) reflects the current rise in demand for GMAT exam centers by an overall 25 percent increase in examinations held.

The GMAT test is accessible at test centers all over the globe with periodic and on-demand testing conducted on a regular basis. Nearly 267,000 candidates, an amazing number, established a record for the most number of applicants to answer the exam in 2009. The number of applicants is gaining international popularity making it increasingly varied and is quickly growing. About 51%, a little more than half of the entrants that answered the exam last year were from lands other than the United States of America. Since its foundation in 1954, for the very first time, has the number of non US candidates topped the number of American applicants.

This current trend shows test applicants from China and India on a ascend. The data collected shows the significant role China and India have played on the globalization of business and management education. The number of tests answered by Indian citizens went up by 7% in 2009, to 30,633. While the number of GMAT tests answered by Chinese nationals grew by 35 percent in 2009, to 23,550. This shows a tremendous improvement in comparison to the number of applicants who answered the test in 2008.
