Give The Kids A Christmas To Remember

By:

To children the Christmas and New Year period is the most exciting time of year, thanks to all the decorations, the atmosphere and, most importantly, the presents! If you want to give your children the best Christmas present by far, treat them to a New Year holiday.

If your holiday budget is looking a bit thin after buying all those gifts you might think you cant afford a break this year, but if you stay at a holiday park you could end up saving a significant amount of money. There are almost always a few accommodation types to choose from, with luxury and standard hotels as well as all-included self-catering apartments and lodges, so if you make your decisions wisely theres no need to spend more than you can manage.

Holiday parks are the ideal place to stay for families as, more often than not; theyve been designed with kids in mind. There are loads of things to do for children, whichever holiday park you pick, with activities for all ages. Toddlers can get creative in the nursery, painting pictures, singing songs and playing with a whole range of toys. If theres a leisure centre at the holiday park you choose you could take your toddler for their first swimming lesson, while slightly older children can be let loose on the water chutes and paddling pools.

A lot of holiday parks also have activities designed for kids that are nearing their teens. You could sign your child up for a day of fencing, archery or rock climbing, which a lot of parks offer, or let them meet kids of their own age at the holiday clubs a lot of parks offer. A few have funfairs as well, where kids can experience everything from adrenaline pumping rollercoasters to bumpy rides on the dodgems.

While all of this is going on Mum and Dad can keep themselves busy in the onsite caf, enjoying a cup of coffee and spending some quality time together. Some holiday parks even have spas where you can treat yourself to some pampering, or gyms with high-end equipment you can use to keep your beach body in shape even while youre on holiday.

During your New Year break dinnertime might be seen as a bit of an issue, especially if your kids can be picky when it comes to food. That isnt the case at holiday parks though, as their onsite restaurants come with childrens menus that include dishes with hidden vegetables and nutritionally balanced meals theyre bound to wolf down.
