Gifts For Men From Nascar Diecasts To Solar Chargers

By:

I am not a talented gift giver, especially when it comes to men. This year, I am resolving to do better on the gift giving, especially for my husband, so, I thought I'd start researching ideas right now.

Let's look at this by personality type.

Sports Fan
I'm sure that most of you won't find it shocking that I started with this one. Of all of the men that I know personally, probably 90% could be considered a sports fan on some level. Gift ideas for sports fans are actually fairly simple. If he likes a team that plays locally, buy him tickets to a game, or even season tickets, if your budget will allow. Hoodies, hats, gloves, etc. with one of his favorite team's logos on it. If he's a car racing fan, a NASCAR diecast could be a fun thing for him to display on his desk at work. Or play with, if he's a 9 year old at heart. Either way. It's actually pretty simple to find things that will make your sports fan happy. Now, onto slightly more difficult categories.

Outdoor Adventurer
This one isn't all that hard, either, the trick is, knowing what they already have. They've probably got the basics, so; let's talk about some fun extras. Solar chargers, handheld GPS gadgets, and Leatherman multi-tools can always come in handy for the man of the "wild." Speaking of which, there's actually a series of Bear Grylls survival gear which he might find useful. Also, good quality, outdoor clothing items are always good, because they wear out and need to be replaced. So, even if he's got a great jacket right now, watch for signs of wear and replace it for him.

Gadget and Electronics Geek
Okay, if you've got money to spare, you can totally spoil him, because there's always a next generation toy for him to go gaga over. However, if you're like me, and budget is an issue, things like t-shirts with goofy sayings on them are fun. Or, multi-gadget charging stations might come in handy for him. I've even seen a book called "Goodnight iPad" that is a parody of the children's book "Goodnight Moon."

Professional
Things for his desk, like fun paper weights, Bucky balls, or even a cool miniature globe, there are even some that levitate. Also, travel items if his work requires him to travel at all, like a set of no-mess travel tubes.

Activist
Keep it simple and environmentally friendly! Reusable grocery bags, t-shirts with funny eco-statements on them, or, even donate to his favorite charity for him. You could even plan a day when the two of you can go volunteer somewhere together, and make kind of a date out of it.
So, if it's a NASCAR diecast, a Bear Grylls survival knife, or a t-shirt with funny sayings on it, there are a lot of great ideas out there. Just make sure it fits your man's personality.
