Getting Rid Of Man-boobs

By:

After serving my country for six and half years in the military I know first-hand how it is to associate closely with men. Anyone who has spent time as a soldier, sailor or airman will verify that military life means living in very close proximity with your brothers-in-arms. In fact, sometimes personal privacy just doesn't exist.

It is said that 'man-boobs'(Gynecomastia) affect one in twenty men. It is also true that man boobs or 'moobs' as they are also known do not confine themselves only to civilians. Yes! Military personnel have moobs too. I have seen hundreds of them.

Moobs are called 'feminine'. Well, they may LOOK feminine -- but not all men with man boobs ARE feminine. The truth is, I have seen strapping, well-built muscular men with firm pecs who cowered like frightened mice when faced by the threat of an oncoming enemy. And I've seen men with plenty in the chest-flab department ready to die for their beliefs. No! Moobs are definitely not a symbol of femininity.

But nevertheless many men with moobs do feel embarrassed about their chest. Some will even avoid public swimming pools and beaches for fear of taking their shirt off. Some are particular about the clothing they wear, for fear of their moobs peeking through.

The fact is, man boobs can destroy a man's pride and confidence -- particularly with the opposite sex.

But here is another fact. I have never met a man with man boobs - soldier, sailor, airman or civilian -- who was not generally overweight. So, if moobs ruin your pride and confidence, look at your weight overall you probably have love handles and excessive belly fat.

Doubtful? Check the 'role-model' sportsmen and athletes. How many of them do you see running around with moobs? Now ... check out the sumo wrestlers. Some of them could put Jordan and Dolly Parton to shame!

Have I successfully made my point? Because if so, you may already be on the way to losing your man boobs for good.

To get rid of moobs successfully, you really only have two choices: one good and one bad.

The bad one

Liposuction. This method of removing moobs is getting increasingly common. However, the surgery is expensive and the long-term results can be even worse than the original man boobs. Worse, liposuction won't help your overall health: you'll still be in danger from diabetes, heart-disease etc. Also: removing fat from just your chest may leave you strangely 'out of proportion.' And liposuction doesn't remove all fat cells, so if you put on weight you may regain your man boobs to some extent. The good one Diet and exercise. Okay, the down-side is that it's a nuisance. But the upsides are many. You'll feel better ALL OVER, look better ALL OVER, have more energy, experience greater self-esteem and self-respect ... and lose your moobs.

It's not hard to find a decent diet to suit your budget and lifestyle. Sensible supplements can help you lose weight quicker and easier while assisting vitamins and minerals levels. (The latest success is Acai Burn.)

Same for an exercise regime. Whatever your fitness, find a program and a supportive group to get you to the next level.

So - get rid of the man-boobs and you will feel proud to be seen out and about shirtless in front of the Armed Forces!
