Getting Ready To Rumble With Video Games

By:

The video gaming world over the past few years has greatly evolved and reached a whole new realm in online game play. These drastic changes have classic gamers like myself, that don't have much time to invest on these new breed of games, and find ourselves overwhelmed trying to keep up with the new generation of gamers that do have a lot of free time because their in summer break.

While they are gaining new trophies, upgrading, and or reaching the next level, we're busy working or taking care of other business. Even though it seems there is not enough hours in a day to accomplish everything, I am fascinated by the increase of competition from the new games that offer the online game play. I also love that they have renovated old arcade classics and added the multiplayer online capabilities that allow you to challenge gamers from all over the globe. It's not like old times when you had to go to your nearest arcade place to get a good challenge.

Now you can do it from the comfort of your home and you can now save those quarters that you would have to feed to the arcade machine so you can use them for you laundry.

The additional content you can download from the your respected game console and the many different unlock able trophies that is offered with most new games give the gamer additional hours of game play where in older games there wasn't much more you could do once you defeated the game once leaving you wondering if the game was worth your money.

One thing I am waiting on is for a good Massively Multiplayer Online game for the Playstation 3. Will they ever come up with a game like World of Warcraft for a video game console? I sure hope so and soon. While technology advances at a blink of an eye we can only imagine and try to guess what these gaming giants like Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony are cooking up for the future.

Everyone - both gamers and non-gamers alike - will agree that the video gaming world has definitely changed drastically. From 8-bit games on the Nintendo console to 16-bit games on the Sega Genesis and now the lifelike, realistic games on the PS3 and XBOX 360, it will be interesting to see what the gurus and developers will come up with next.
