Getting More Clients With A Partnership

By:

Something you may want to consider as you look at different ways to increase your client base is partnering with another company offering services that are complimentary to what you provide to your customers. This can be a win-win situation for all involved!

By partnering with another company, you both will have a chance to be exposed to more clients. For example, if you build websites for companies, why not collaborate with a graphic designer? When you get a job building the website, you can tell the client that you work with an extraordinary graphic designer and then provide the contact information to your client. Likewise, the graphic designer may see that the site he is designing for a client needs some important upgrades, and he can tell his client about your expertise in building and upgrading sites.

This makes a lot of sense, right? The concept is quite easy to understand, but there are a few things to consider when you decide to partner with another company. Of course, you only want to collaborate with companies that offer the same high level of service that you offer. It will reflect badly on you if you refer one of your clients to someone who offers only mediocre services or products. Also, be very careful not to form a collaboration with anyone who can take potential work from you.

To get started today, do a little brainstorming. What kind of a company would be a good collaboration for you? How can you benefit from such a collaboration? Which specific companies come to mind that you are already aware of?

Once you decide a partnership will be advantageous to you, it will be fairly easy to find a partner on your social media sites and at in-person networking events. This is a great way to double your effort to find your ideal client! Take a look around and see who is out there and how you can be of help to each other in your quest to grow your business!
