And if you don't want to get out your wallet during your weekend breaks Norfolk, simply pack a picnic, grab your bucket and spade and head for the seaside.
Of course, Norfolk luxury hotels welcome plenty of couples and groups, too. With its wonderful, open countryside; big, blue skies, and plenty of gastro-pubs, this is the perfect county for a romantic getaway.
Meanwhile, walkers will also love it here, partly because of the popular North Norfolk Trail, but also because of the many stop-off points, from the RSPB sanctuary in Titchwell to the much-photographed windmill in Cley.
There is also a wealth of shopping to be had. A 45-minute drive from Cromer, Norwich is home to every store imaginable and is constantly listed in the UK's top 10 shopping destinations.
But if you are simply after a few souvenirs, Holt is the place to head for, packed with craft and gift shops, galleries, antiques emporiums and all sorts of other eclectic stores.
