My girlfriend Bree is the best friend I could ever have. After the awful split with my husband, she is treating me to some well-needed TLC. We only had a few days to spare, however, so, being near the Christmas period now, she got us tickets to a well-known Christmas show in Norfolk, the Thursford Christmas Spectacular.I'm so excited to be having a weekend break Norfolk as my mother grew up there but I have never been - we will have to stay in one of the many
Norfolk Hotels as I believe Mother grew up along the coast somewhere (I'll have to give her a call to find out exactly where). No doubt my ears will be ringing after that conversation, though, as she loves that part of the world and can talk incessantly about it! Anyway -
Norfolk Luxury Hotels, here we come, and gosh, do I need to get away.I'm dreaming of waking up in the morning and having a huge fry up, together with numerous coffees to get me through a busy day. I hope the hotels in North Norfolk know how to make a mean breakfast! Then going out to face the bracing wind and the winter chill - a fantastic way of getting into a good mood and blowing the cobwebs away, then working off that breakfast with some retail therapy - I intend to spend as much as I possibly can on myself and my puppy, as she's had a hard time, too, lately.Perhaps after that we'll treat ourselves to fish and chips eaten on a sandy beach, followed by hot doughnuts and a Mr Whippy - the only man I have time for in my life! Then in the evening we'll go to the show which is packed full of singing and dancing and sheer Christmas delights (I will be watching all the manly legs, of course). Now, if only all this could be in Essex!
