Tweeting is the process of posting messages on Twitter,Retweeting is the process of reposting the messages of others. Retweeting is the process of re-posting Twitter messages so that other people can also read the information and see who the original poster of the message is. When retweeting messages, people usually placed the letter RT before the@username. Retweeting works like a back link to your tweet. Getting your message retweeted means you have more people reading your message and possibly more people checking out your profile.

Here are a few tips to get your messages retweeted:

1.) Keep your messages short. Twitter only allows messages of 140 characters or less. If you want people to retweet your message,make sure they can retweet it, with the RT @username included without the need to edit your message.

2.) Post messages that have value. Make sure your messages are "meaty" and not just some random drivel about your day. Unless you are a celebrity or a comedian, random messages that you think are funny will not get retweeted. But this doesn't mean that you need to lose your personality when you tweet. Just make sure that your messages are things are messages that people would be interested to spread to their own followers.

3.) Make sure you attract the right people on Twitter. Building a community around your brand will help ensure that you have people who really follow you because they are interested in what you have to say. This makes them very willing to also repost your tweets. Making sure you attract the right people on Twitter means carefully selecting people to follow and posting messages that really reflect your values.

4.) Do not post too many unnecessary tweets. It is important to let your personality shine through your Twitter page but avoid posting too many unnecessary tweets. Also, please do not turn your Twitter into a chat room. If you need to post many tweets directed atone person, use the DM feature instead. Or try to get the person into chat so that you can really have a conversation with the person.

5.) Post tweets during peak hours. Check what time majority or your followers and"market" are online and try to go on Twitter during those hours so that you have an active audience when you tweet.
