There are several manufacturers of vapor steam cleaners, with products ranging from higher-end industrial products to inexpensive consumer models.

Despite the positive things about vapor steam cleaning, steam can damage carpets if used improperly. Professionals recommend hot water extraction cleaning more often as the best choice. Hot water extractions lower temperatures are safer to use with modern carpets that are largely constructed with plastic fibers. Hot enough to do the job but low enough to prevent fiber damage. It also does a better job of thoroughly rinsing dirt from the fibers. In the end, hot water extraction techniques can also add conditioners and protectors that extended the life of your carpets.

People often inquire about how long it will take their carpets to dry after cleaning. The time frame for carpets to be completely dry depends on several factors, such as the level of soiling and the cleaning method used. Generally, it can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 12 hours.
