Get Rid Of Prank Callers With A Caller Id

By:

It is reported that more than 50% of US residents have received a bogus phone call at least two times in their lives. This means that it is highly probable that you are among these people. I'll also admit that I have received a lot of such prank calls during the period of divorce with my wife. I used to get 5-10 phone calls at night, each one from a different phone number and I was really stuck what to do. Friends advised me to got to the police, but they told me that there is no evidence of a crime and if I want them to do anything I have to prove that the phone numbers belong to one person. Then they will be able to do something.

I had no idea how could I do it, so I decided to hire a professional - a private investigator who would do all the job for me. I couldn't believe his words when he told me the price for such services. I just couldn't afford it and I really needed to get rid of the phone calls since they started to harm my life very badly. When I was leaving the PI office his secretary told me that she used to have a similar problem and also couldn't pay for the private detective, so she looked in the Internet and found that it's possible to check the calling phone number in the land line. The service is called caller identification and can easily help you track the caller.

Once you have the phone number you can use a reverse cellphone lookup service - she told me. She also told me where to find the best cell phone directories so that I knew everything without paying a dime. I was really satisfied that there are still good people like the secretary who do things with no charge.

I got a caller id device from my phone carrier and decided to stay by the phone at night and note down all the suspicious calls. In the morning I had six phone numbers, all of them were cell phones as I believe. I joined a cell phone directory, paid a small fee for unlimited access. I don't remember the exact price, but this was about $30 not much according the PI price. I lookup all the phone numbers and learned that they belong to my wife's lawyer who also turned out to be her lover. He was so stupid that registered the cell phone numbers on his name, so it was fairly easy to prove that all belong to him. Now I had something which I could show the police.
