Going camping can be so much fun and is a wonderful experience for all of the family, obviously there are a few essentials that you will need to purchase from your local camping shop but most of what you will enjoy camping will be free. One game that is really fun to play with the family is hide and seek in a good patch of woods, if you play after dark you will need headlamps or flashlights. Make sure that when you go to the camping shop you purchase some good quality binoculars as these will help you stalk wildlife in the morning or evening. If you wake up extra early and find an area that you think wildlife visits such as a field or stream then you will probably be rewarded for the effort. Deer often are around at this time and to see such a magnificent creature creep past you as the sun rises is incredible.

Depending on where you have chosen to go camping there will be lots to explore and enjoy, make the most of the surroundings. In the evening you can enjoy your surrounding too, if you are lucky enough to have good weather then star gazing is really relaxing and enjoyable, especially around a big camp fire. Make sure that you have the necessities to make your trip comfortable, camping shops provide lots of foldable chairs and tables for you to use in your camp.

Finally, one activity that has been involved in camping for thousands of years and since the beginning of time is telling stories around the campfire. Everyone enjoys cuddling up to a roaring fire and sharing interesting and spooky stories amongst one another. Ghost stories are great as the darkness creates the perfect atmosphere to the end of a busy day exploring and viewing wildlife. Just make sure that you have marshmallows to roast on the fire and cosy warm tents to snuggle at bedtime. Nowadays there are so many things you can purchase to make sure that your trip is completely stress free and enjoyable.
