German Speakers - Charisma, Charm And Other Reasons They Are So Popular

By:

Charisma is a very difficult personality trait that one can try to pin down. There are people who have an almost magnetic quality about them, whereby they can draw in people around them and influence them in significant ways. Throughout history, one can see that there have been many different individuals who have had this particular trait. They have used this "power", so to speak, for both good and bad. A lot of individuals will find that political leaders tend to fare quite well in this regard, but the same can be said for those who work in the field of business. Some might be wondering if German speakers are more charismatic than others.

For individuals who speak the language itself, of course it might not seem as harsh-sounding and indeed, when one gets down to the base of it, it is a very logically-constructed manner of speech. The grammar follows rigid rules which can be quite flexible at the same time. Most people will agree with regards to the similarities between English and German speaker, due to them being from the same family.

This is true mainly because English itself is a language that developed from Proto-Germanic, which eventually became Germany. Certain words can be seen as having the same kind of linguistic and etymological roots. Take a look at the word "deep" in English, and "tief" in Germany, both meaning the same thing. Both evolved from the root, with the central phonetics being the exact same.

There are also plenty of examples of different leaders in Germany who were charismatic. Adolf Hitler, a failed Austrian artist, is one of Germany's most well-known political leaders and dictators. He captured the German public in times of deep recession and managed to win them over with his awe-inspiring speeches. This of course lead to a whole range of atrocities which took place, resulting in one of the world's biggest wars.

In spite of Hitler's darker nature, no one can deny that his words had an incredibly powerful effect on people. Some people might speculate that this had something to do with the language which he spoke. As a language, German can seem very rough to the outsider. For those who speak it, it has a rather soft tone and is very technical sounding.

Undoubtedly there seems to be some kind of aspect to this particular language which gives German speakers a much more commanding air. Indeed, a lot of businesses in Germany and Austria are quite successful, and sometimes an almost militaristic approach to certain things. Of course, all of this is just theory when one gets down to the very base of it. Overall, however, Germany is renowned for being efficient and excelling in various disciplines such as science and technology.

There is undoubtedly going to be some kind of level of command to the language, whether or not one considers it to be "charisma" in the real sense of the word. There is of course the impression amongst many people that Germans in general have a very efficient and sometimes too serious outlook on life, but it is difficult to generalize with such a large country. Therefore a number of different factors are usually going to play into this.

Body language and other factors are also going to be taken into account. There is no one factor with which this unique personality trait can be pin-pointed, therefore one needs to take everything into consideration.
