Genetically Modified Food: Friend Or Foe? What You Can Do To Preserve Your Health

By:

The consumption of genetically modified food has risen steeply over the last several years, especially

in the western nations. But how safe is it? Are there any reliable scientific findings which support

the safety of GMO's? The answer to this last question is...NO! But there seems to be plenty of

emerging evidence to the contrary.

According to the U.S. Center for Food Safety, "It is estimated that 70-75% of processed food on

supermarket shelves-- from soda pop to soap, crackers to condiments--contain genetically engineered

ingredients." What is really alarming is that labels are not required on such food to indicate that

they contain GMO's!

Furthermore, scientists from the Russian Academy of Argricultural Sciences, reported in March 2008,

that the "U.S. agricultural sector collapse was imminent." The reason given was "due to the rampant

and unforeseen consequences of rapidly mutating genetically modified strains of crops inundating the

U.S. biosphere." These reports indicate that the first casualties of mass biosphere genetic poisoning

will always occur first in plant pollinators.

So, let's connect the dots. Plant pollinators are bees and bats. Remember the bee crisis this past

summer? Listen to a quote form the BBC in March 2008, "The pollination of crops by bees is responsible

for a third of the food produced in the United States. One in every three mouthfuls has been touched

by their tiny feet, but our six-legged friends are in trouble. They are getting sick and leaving their

hives." The report goes on to say, "A mystery illness that has scientists baffled is the wiping out of

tens of thousands of bats across the north east of the United States." Even more disturbing, this

report goes on to say, "This genetic poisoning appears to have now hit mammal populations, especially

in Minnesota." The state of Minnesota just happens to be the third largest planter of genetically

modified crops in America. Minnesota is reporting that their moose populations in this region are

dying in record numbers, nearing extinction. This also just happens to be the area of their state

which is most concentrated with mutant crops!

This situation is becoming serious. 75% of the processed food in the U.S. is infected with genetically

altered crops, which in turn is destroying the bee and bat pollinator species. This has a direct

correlation to our being able to feed ourselves as a nation. Furthermore, this destruction is moving

up the food chain! It is now breaking down our resistance. It is greatly weakening our immune

systems, which we depend upon to protect us from a whole host of deadly illnesses. The proof of

whether or not genetically modified food is safe or not is right before our eyes. It's staring us in

the face! We must begin immediately to implement a plan by which we can overcome this crisis to our

health. Time is not on our side. Implement the following three pronged plan of action

ASAP.

1. Find our which food brands contain GMO's. Eliminate them entirely from your diet. Find out which

companies provide GMO free food and support them. (We are continuing to do research ourselves in this

area, and will be happy to pass along any information we have on our blogs)

2. Begin strengthening your immune system by eliminating processed foods, and by consuming more raw

foods, such as grains and legumes, fruits and vegetables.

3. Grow your own food. Learn how...it's not as hard as you think, but there are important principles

which must be mastered in order to be successful at it. Invest in education. Because, an investment

in health is really the best investment of all.

By taking this action, we can take back our health. By eliminating genetically modified food from our

diet, we can preserve our health. We are what we eat. By eating proper food we can fortify ourselves

against the outside threats to our health and thus preserve our health. So, let's get started on our

road to recovery!
