Generate Interest and Excitement With a Contest

I don’t see contests even remotely enough.

This just strikes me as such a great opportunity for a company to accomplish a wide variety of goals at the same time.

The first thing you gain is more excitement from your customer base about your company. Excited people are going to be more likely to not only come in and give you more business, but mention your company to other people. Don’t you like to mention to your friends the various businesses you really enjoy going to?

The second thing is it gives people a good reason to come to your store. They actually have the chance of winning something if they come in. The prospect of something for free will always do wonders to get better foot traffic in your store.

Next, it provides you with a better way of boosting up your store and gaining more attention for your advertising. If someone sees the word contest along with what they can win they’re more likely to look at the other things that same advertisement has to say. Pair big sales or other important products with your contest to get the best exposure possible for your marketing of them.

The exact way you go about handling your contest along with the way you get your message about it to people is going to be up to do.

One suggestion I would have is the use of custom greeting cards to initially garner interest in your company.

What you do is get a bunch of custom greeting cards done asking people to come in and give your store a try. On the back of each card you have a code and tell them to come in on the day of your contest along with the greeting card for a chance to win.

With this approach you’ve given them an invitation to come into your store which will help grab their interest, and you’ve spiced that up with the prospect of the contest.

Because they have the possibility of winning something they’ll be much more likely to take you up on your offer and give your store a try. You can help spice up your contest even more by also offering some kind of special with your greeting card as well.

No matter what they’re going to get something special by coming in, only now they also have the chance of winning something even better.

The mere chance of winning something is a wonderful way of boosting up a person’s interest. Who doesn’t like to be the lucky winner? The better the prize you offer the better the amount of interest you’ll generate, along with the additional sales that come with that many more people coming into your store.
