We all know that
web design in
Brisbane is a fast-paced environment, it waits for no one. Things are
constantly evolving and changing; trends come and go at a faster pace than the
fashion industry, while technology is pushed forward by a sea of brains,
breaking boundaries that were thought to be unbreakable.
You dont have to look deep into the
web design world
to realize that most business are developing websites that are based on static
information. Functionally, they merely replace the turning of a brochure page
with the click of a mouse and present some very brochure esque information: who
they are, what they do, why people should give them money and how to get in
touch.
But things are about to change.
The Gen Ys were born into a world thriving on the internet. Their parents met
on MSN, their relatives in Sweden saw pictures of them on Facebook an hour after
birth, and the first time they fell flat on their face doesnt simply reside on
a tape stuffed away in the video cabinet, its on YouTube. A new generation is
coming, and they arent interested in brochures in digital form.
Using a website is swiftly becoming more about dynamic presentation of
personalized information and functional convenience rather than purely static
information... multi-national corps and small local businesses in Brisbane are
going to have to convert to this new philosophy or get left behind.
GPS Navigation will eventually replace printed maps, PDAs will replace diaries,
tablets will replace sketchbooks, but what will the internet replace? Dating is
changing, shopping is changing, directories, networking, study, even the humble
newspaper has taken a turn.
So whats next for the world of
web design?
What will a generation that was nurtured by the internet bring to the table? No
one is certain, but one things for sure, these online brochures we call
websites will soon be a thing of the past. Buckle up.
