Wow! We decide to throw a party or two here at the country Club Scottsdale in midsummer and you
Come out of nowhere pretty impressive! After what I understand to have been a hiatus, well be Celebrating the July 4th holiday at the Scottsdale Golf Club in just a few days.
Its a full weekend of Independence Day activities for the whole family and we hope that you too will join us here at the Country Club Scottsdale to share in all the fun! Can you think of a better place to spend a Sunday evening in early July watching fireworks than on the tee at the Practice Park at the
Scottsdale Golf Club. Check out this link for all the details. And that just gets us started. During the latter part of July, it is the debut of The Inferno a two day gentlemens no frills memberguest that promises to be a blast for those that participate here at the Country Club Scottsdale. Whose idea was this anyway? That would be Dick Hyland. He and the guys in the Golf Shop are just doing their thing to create some fun and excitement at the Scottsdale Golf Club.
Your support of the Golf Ops team and your support of a chance to have some fun are awesome: Forty (40) teams are already signed up and were hoping for fifty (50), promising a funfilled weekend on Saturday, July 23rd and Sunday, July 24th! Oh yeah, in the middle of July The Country Club at DC Ranch, A Scottsdale Golf Club was pleased to serve as the host site for the Junior Golf Association of Arizona (JGAA) Match Play Championship. Thirtytwo (32) of Arizonas finest young golfers will tee it up on July 1920 for this prestigious Arizona Junior title.
The boys and girls are some of the best juniors in the state under the age of 17. On behalf of the JGAA and youth golf, sincere thanks to the Scottsdale Golf Club membership, the Golf Committee and the Board of Directors for your support of this event! Okay, now on to the rumor mill. Fact or fiction The Club no longer has a Chef? Although it is true the Club and Executive Chef Jay Webb amicably agreed to part ways in early April, it would be fiction that the Scottsdale Golf Club is operating without a Chef.
A very talented culinary staff and Interim Executive Chef John Godvin took on the challenge of raising the bar during the busiest months of the year and, based on your feedback, has been doing so successfully. In fact, many of you have suggested that the interim tag be removed and Chef John be given the opportunity to lead our culinary team at the
Country Club Scottsdale rather than the Club looking outside for its next Executive Chef.
Please know, however, that we continue to receive and review resumes for the position at the Country Club Scottsdale and plan to begin the initial process in the coming weeks with those individuals we identify as our five or six leading candidates. The reputation of the Country Club Scottsdale has generated some very high quality candidates and we look forward to completing the search process sometime this summer.
Through exceptional hospitality, The Country Club at DC Ranch, a
Scottsdale Golf Club, is committed to building tradition and dedicated to being the preeminent southwest lifestyle club by creating a legacy of fun, family and friendliness
