A companys public reputation is certainly based on its product, but it doesnt hurt to be a little giving to promote corporate responsibility. Right now, it seems like the focus of most car companies is on the environment and how drivers can reduce their environmental footprint. But some companies like to do it the old fashioned way, and Cadillac is leveraging its reputation for quality and excellence to push a different charitable perspective. When you visit your Ft. Myers Cadillac CTS dealership to check out some of the 2011 models, pay special attention to the CTS Coupe, which is contributing to the hopes and dreams of artists at the special College for Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit.

The CTS Coupes first sale was part of an auction at the annual car collectors mecca in Scottsdale, AZ. Completely built to order, the vehicle was auctioned off for an impressive $87,000, most of which went directly to CCS. The auction was a huge win for artists, designers and car enthusiasts everywhere, and GMs vice president of global design was on hand to support the throng of artists and designers trained by CCS, with a large portion of those designers have a big impact on Cadillac and the entirety of the car industry. Ft. Myers Cadillac CTS dealers were thrilled about the auctions results, and Ft. Myers used Cadillac drivers were the slightest bit jealous of the winners prize.

For its part, CCS is one of the leading private four-year art education schools in the nation, with a great program for transportation design. Of course, it makes sense that the university would be located in Detroits Cultural and New Center areas, where the auto business has been booming for most of its history. Not nowadays it would seem, but the industry is rebounding, so we hope to see Detroit in better spirits when the economy comes back around. Still, many Ft. Myers used Cadillac drivers would argue that Cadillac never went away amidst the failings of the industry.

The CTS Coupe is a vehicle that Ft. Myers Cadillac DTS dealerships have been salivating over receiving for a few years now. Ever since the car was announced in concept form about two years ago, the driving public has awaited a taste of this classy new ride. A planned launch date of May 2009 got pushed back during wayward corporate parent GMs restructuring, so weve had to wait to see the next incarnation of the popular CTS model. Hopefully well have our chance to test-drive it at a Ft. Myers Cadillac DTS dealer over the course of this year.

The CTS Coupe is powerful. Standard with a 3.6-liter direct-injected V6 that puts out 304 horsepower and gets around 27 miles per gallon on the highway, the CTS comes with a nice base Performance Package that features 18-inch wheels and all season. Overall, we expect to see much the same beauty and dependability drivers everywhere have found in the CTS sedan. Well let you know after weve had a chance to drive it.
