Friends - Our True Advisors, Critics, Helpers In Daily Life

By:

Having friends is like a blessing in disguise. This blessing is heavenly as you cherish every moment of your life. Whether it is successful, failure, and sadness, friends will always be there for you.

Most of us have many friends while some have less. Whatever the number maybe, these friends are our true angels. You may have different kinds of friends like kindergarten friends, high school friends, college friends, dorm friends and office friends. Yet, these friends are dear and sincere that you still get amazed with life. Why amazed? Well, you get amazed because even though most of them may not be your best buddies; they are still the apple of your eye. No matter how much you get annoyed or irritated with your friends, you still like to be in their company. That is why many people have said that friends are like angels who avert misfortunes in your life.

A friend is like a vessel that helps you cross the various storms and cyclones of the raging sea. Friends encourage you when you are down and are always there for you when you are in trouble. When you have no doors to knock, you could always knock on your friend's door. They would always be ready to help you and never make you realize on how incompetent you are. Friendship does not mean a group of people who have common interest and hobbies. You could be friends with your colleagues. You may hang out with them during lunches and breaks. Sometimes you may interact and have fun during office parties. But still these are not your true friends. Friends are those people who support you when you in crises and help you even before asking. They trust you and know your worth.

Many of us have friends who have lied and stood for us during the difficult phases. They have lied to our parents and spouses when we were in trouble. Whether we were on a date with our girlfriend or quenching our thirst at the bar, friends have always handled the situation with ease. You guys must have heard about a joke. It tells us why friends are a part of a life. A husband comes home late (literally the next day) from office. His wife gets suspicious that he had gone to the bar to have a merry time. When confronted the husband says he had a lot of work at the office, so he stayed at his friend's house. The wife not convinced with the answer, calls ten of his best friends. Four of them say that he had spent the night at their house, the other four say that he is still in their house and is sleeping; and the remaining two of them mimic in the husband's voice and talks with the wife. Man! I wish I had such friends. As years pass by, you may not see most of your friends. We become so busy and engrossed in our day to day life that we just miss to communicate with them. Seriously, with loads of time we spend in doing wasteful things, we never think of picking up the phone to call our friends or even email them.

Sometimes you may feel that there should be a course on friendship in school and colleges. It should make us release on what a treasure friends are and how our life will be complete with having many friends. Of course, some people are perfectly happy in having few friends. They might rather have a few and deep friends, than superficial ones. While others like having many friends and thrive the best when they are everywhere and numerous. It is not the number of friends that is important in life. Basically it is the type of friends and the period in which we have. Last year on the Friendship day ( i.e. on July 30) , I logged on to my Internet powered by service providers like Verizon FiOS Internet and wished all my friends a never ending happy friendship. My joy gets grew no bounds when I saw the replies and wishes my friends had sent. Somewhere in my heart I wished that I could meet and hang out with most of my friends like old times.
