Fresh Water Tank Laws

By:

The earth is composed mostly of water but this does not make every drop drinkable as there is only a small percentage of this water that is potable. It is not that easy for some people to get clean drinking water when they need to and this is a huge problem these days.

There are some of us who get to enjoy this precious commodity and all we have to do is turn the faucet on. There are no worries as to the water running out.

Not only do we drink water but we cook with it as well. The idea of water being a luxury is not right at all. It is clean water that people desire to have at home.

When it comes to the good old NYC, officials are making an effort to see to it that every time a faucet is turned on, clean water will come out of it.

It was in the year 2009 when the usage of water tanks has been regulated in such a way that there are now mandatory inspections for these storage solutions. When it comes to this, the water tank will be inspected and then the establishment will be required to display the inspection certificate. When it comes to this, you have to know when the tank was last cleaned.

There are issues that the city needs to resolve though. The problem with the city is that instead of focusing on having people put up pieces of paper, they should make an effort to actually find ways to deliver good and safe drinking water to the people that need it. In this case, the inability to comply with the regulations will lead to huge fines for buildings.

Penalties will be given to those who fail to have the certificates displayed when the Health Department officials go from building to building when they check this out. The roofs of New Yorkers have water tanks and the numbers continue to rise.

There are more water tanks to consider as interior ones are also present not to mention those that are in basements. Considering the situation of city water tanks, there are big profits that can be earned by catching rule violators.

Property owners that have not been able to comply with the policies pertaining to this have been fined and more are being fined especially with the zero tolerance policy for noncompliance in effect. What you have here is something that makes money but also protects the residents of New York. By not properly looking after your water tank, you are exposing yourself to harmful bacteria.

When it comes to this, diarrhea is a common disease that unclean water leads to but you can experience gastroenteritis, Pontiac Fever, and Legionnaire's Disease as well.

Individuals will only get clean water if the water tank is cleaned properly and this is something building owners know. By no means is this Astrophysics. Avoiding the problem is always the better path to take.

There are specific regulations that pertain to a routine cleaning system that can make breaking them really expensive. When it comes to this, breaking the rules can set you back thousands of dollars. The authorities have seen to it that people will get the message.

On a yearly basis, see to it that you do everything to clean your water tanks. It is the inspection certificate that should be presented when necessary and when a resident turns the faucet on, he or she should be able to get water that is safe to drink.
