Free Classified Advertising Tips To Make It Work For You.

By:

Do a search on Google for free classifieds and free ads. From the results, choose 10 sites to register with. If a site is asking for too much information during the registration, abandon the registration to this site. You should not need to give too many personal details for the sites benefits, good sites will only ask for minimal information so that you can post, edit and delete ads.

Write a short, precise description of what you are advertising. Many sites have a limit as to how many words you can write, which is normally more than enough for classified advertising. You want to be brief, while keeping the reader interested enough to reply to your ad or click the link you have provided.

The title of your ad should be attention grabbing and include action words asking the reader to do something NOW. If you are promoting an affiliate product, which a lot of classified ads are, then yours needs to stand out from the rest at a glance.

If you are selling personal items, then you will need to provide your contact information in order for people to contact you. If you are promoting an item to make a profit, dont try to sell your product to people in the ad. Generate curiosity, write a short concise ad and lead them to your website which should then give more information to do the selling.

In most classified sites, the most recently posted ads are up the top of the listings. Renew your ad as often as the site will allow keeping your ad on top and seen first. You could even register yourself with these sites a number of times under different email addresses to ensure you can post many frequent ads.

Do not spam by posting your ads in all categories. Post in a few relevant categories, preferably using different ad content and titles. If the site has regional sections, e.g. US states, cities, or countries and your target is to reach every region, post in 10 to 15 regions only. For the search function of the site to pickup your ad for display, you do not have to post in all the available regions. This will save lots of time.
Always use images in your ads. Make sure the size is within the sites acceptable limits or the site will not display the images at all. If you are taking the picture yourself, take a good picture using a good quality digital camera, convert the pictures to jpeg formula and reduce the dimensions before uploading.

Using these tips you should be able to reduce your time spent posting ads on classifieds, and get more of a response from your ads. Remember to generate curiosity in your ad and use a strong action title to grab the potential customers attention. Make your ad stand out from the rest and you will surely be 1 step above the others.

Wishing you Success
