A married man is expected to act according to the norms set as acceptable in a society. And certainly having affairs with women is something unacceptable. If you are thinking of having an affair, you should prepare yourself for the consequences of your actions. There is a possibility that your wife will discover your affair with another woman. In order to avoid this, there are certain rules you need to follow.

1.Keep the affair to yourself. As a man, you might have the urge to tell your buddies about your "extra-curricular" activities over a pitcher of beer. However, you have to keep in mind that affairs are not acceptable to many and as such, there might be serious consequences once the affair is discovered. It's not that you can't trust your buddies to keep your secret, especially if they too have affairs of their own, but the thing is, it takes just one honest mistake to destroy everything you work for.

If other people know of your affair, there are more chances for mistakes to happen. Whatever your motivations for wanting to share that knowledge to your buddies, it is really something unwise. You don't know what is going to happen in the future. Who knows, your buddies now might be your enemies later. A simple misunderstanding might lead them to hate you. 2. Stay the same. Do the things you normally did before you started having an affair. If you spend your time at home during weekends then continue to do so. It might be hard to find time to sneak around in order to meet other woman without changing your daily routine. That is true, but as much as possible if there are any changes, make only minimal changes in your schedule. If you change your daily routine drastically, it would only raise suspicions in your spouse's mind. That is the last thing you would ever want to happen.

When your spouse starts to ask people around, she might get ideas as to what you are doing and in time, you might get caught. And once that happens, just use your imagination as to how nasty things can become for you.

3. Don't be complacent. Once you commit yourself into this kind of relationship, you have to watch every step you take thereon. Never think even once that everything is fine just because you don't hear complaints from your spouse. Strange as it may sound, wives are almost too perceptive of things (if they choose to be). So you have to make sure that you cover all trails that might lead your wife to find out about your illicit affair. You can do this by having your online account password-protected.

Also, never ever share your email password to your spouse. And most importantly, if you ever make calls to your other women with your phone, delete the call logs right after you hang up.

4. Be creative. This might sound really funny to you. Who says that creativity is essential in maintaining a secret? Well, I am sure you have heard a lot of spy stories. While some of them might seem closer to fantasy than reality, a spy-master's greatest weapon is his unending knack for creative ideas. You are not James Bond, understandably so. But the moment you involve yourself in extra-marital affairs, you are living a double life- the same as the spies in spy stories.

Therefore you should be as creative as them. You are not asked to wear a disguise whenever you go out (though it would not be a bad idea if you did). What is asked of you is to make excuses that are really believable and that can easily be accepted as true. Because whether you like it or not, your wife will ask you questions about why you sometimes come home late. It is difficult to have affairs with women when you are already married. You will have to find time to squeeze an additional person in to your already busy life. In doing so, you might neglect your family and work which is really unwise.

As much as possible, stay the same as you are so your wife will not suspect you of doing something fishy behind her back.
