You do not have to reinvent the wheel; using exercises that you do during official practice will help improve your game. Practicing at home also helps make your family interested in the sport. Invite your parents to play with you, or to watch you play. Even if all you do is dribble the ball to and from practice, this in itself will increase your ball handling ability.

Decide which areas you should focus on, whether they be speed, accuracy, agility, or strength. Then proportion your time accordingly. For example, if you are a really accurate, warm up with a few accuracy exercises, and then move on to building strength and speed.
