Four Diet Myths You Need To Learn

By:

A healthy diet is one of the very best ways to enhance all round health and fitness, but sadly quite a few people fail to include a wholesome and well balanced diet plan into their life-style. An additional disadvantage is that several of us fall victim myths about dieting. Many of these types of myths are propagated by diet programs that recommend you must eat certain foods for the body to perform correctly.

Myth 1 - Some groups of foods ought to be taken away from the diet

Many diets advise the removal of many food groups and consumption of a single group. It's good to know that your own body requires a well balanced diet to ensure the supply of nutrients to keep you in good health. Your body needs water, vitamins, proteins, fats, minerals, energy (carbohydrates), fiber, and o2. A diet plan of fresh fruits, greens, grains and nuts will help you rebuild your immune system and thus will improve your health. So as you can see it's just as important to consume all food groups as it is to avoid candy and other junk foods.

Myth 2 - You need to eat meats to ensure protein consumption

Your body needs 30 grams of proteins daily. Meat and milk products contain a lot salt and fat. Fruits and some vegetables include about one gram of protein and whole grain cereal, nuts, oil and some greens contain little more protein than fruits. Hence, proteins can be found in many other types of healthy foods, not just steak.

Myth 3 - Eliminate the fat from the diet

Your body needs 50 grams of fat daily. No need to entirely eliminate fat from your diet plan because it helps your muscles and ligaments to perform correctly. Peanuts, olive oil, seafood and avocados are food items rich in nutrients and healthy fats. Beware of fried foods that consist of high quantities of fat, but keep in mind that your body also demands fat to operate correctly and to stay healthy.

Myth 4 - You have to starve oneself if you wish to eliminate weight

A girl should eat about 1,200 - 1,300 calories daily and a man 1600-1800. If you choose to eat healthy foods, you will not be compelled to deprive yourself when you want to get rid of weight. You can eat as much fresh fruits and vegetables, and this will not influence the way to lose weight. To take advantage of all the nutritional value of food you need to eat fresh foods and avoid processed and drinks high in sugar if at all feasible. To have an enviable figure and good health, choose to consume healthy foods, instead of concentrating on how much you eat. As an example, it's much better to eat a healthy salad with some chicken, rather than a half slice of pizza.
