Finding Friends for Paintball Games

Paintball is very much a multiplayer sport. As much fun it is to have target practice and go out to shoot paintballs by yourself, it is much better to play with more than one person. Unfortunately, it can be tough to find an adequate number of willing players, due to the time and expense that the sport of paintball requires. One method for creating a group of paintball enthusiasts is to start small. One way to do this is to start with playing laser tag and then switching to paintball after a few times of playing. Check with local sports gear places to see if they have paintball equipment for rent. This lets your friends see how great paintball can be without having to buy all the equipment first. As you play, make sure everyone is learning what to do and focus less on winning than having a good time. If their first experience is a massacre, it is unlikely they will want to come back, but if you slowly introduce them to the sport and skills of paintball, they'll be begging you to return again and again.

Increasing Paintball Accuracy Skills

Though being a top-notch paintball player takes a variety of skills, one of the most crucial is accuracy. Strength, speed, and strategy are all significant, but if a paintball player cannot hit targets or take out opponents, he or she cannot progress in the game. The good news is that accuracy is not so much a gift as it is an ability developed through practice. Try practicing with several different types of paintball guns in order to become more accustomed to your favorite type of gun. You should learn to shoot standing, kneeling, sitting, running, and any other type of action position that you can think of. Both stationary and moving targets should be incorporated into your training. You can arrange to practice accuracy with a friend: one shoots as the other practices dodging or evasion, and then you switch. You can also use objects that can be thrown or remote controlled to shoot at.

Smart Clothes for Paintball

There are many different types of clothes that you can wear to a paintball game. If you are worried about bruising in a paintball game, you should wear thick pants and long sleeved shirt and or sweatshirt. Avoid bright clothing to increase your stealth. Remember paintball marks do leave stains, so whatever you do wear to game, make sure that you are not attached to it are willing to let go. Finally, comfort is a key factor. You will not have a great time at the game if your clothing is too tight, inadequate for the weather, or otherwise unsuitable for running around.

The Fears of Paintball

One of the biggest misconceptions about paintball, and perhaps one of the biggest reasons why people do not get into the game, is the fear of welts and bruises that paintballs can incur. Realistically, it is a game of shooting at each other, and it definitely is possible to get an occasional bruise. Most bruises that are caused by paintballs are from shots taken from a close distance. In contrast, games where players are spread out sufficiently usually mean that no one will experience injuries. Of course, wearing adequate protective gear makes a big difference. So if you have put off playing paintball because of the fear of pain, simply dress well for the occasion and go out and enjoy yourself.
