Ford Fiesta Rs A Truly Stunning Looking Car

By:

The old version of the Ford Fiesta RS was always one of the most fascinating cars to drive but, regrettably, one of the least interesting to look at. When researching the car, I was happy to see Ford has well and truly solved that problem by transforming the looks of the car from it previously looking a little stale and dated to its now more modern and sleek look.

I think that the good news is that the performance of the car has not suffered in the transformation. Ford have taken the active quality of the old model and cultured it, without primarily adapting the nature of it. A significant change is the new Fiesta RS is lighter than the old style one by 40 kg

The excellent suspension means the ride of the Fiesta is firm but well controlled while the handling is sprightly. I have found steering to be a portion lighter than before due to electronic power steering rather than the old hydraulic range. It is far more accurate than most such systems: electronic assistance has developed a reputation for providing lifeless steering but the Fiesta is fresh and keeps holds its precise system well.

The Fiesta RS is obtainable with the excellent 1.6 TDCI diesel . The Fiesta has the difference of offering one of the lowest CO2 five-seated cars on sale, with a road-tax immune 98g/km of CO2 in the Econetic version.

As long as you do not need more space than the Ford Fiesta RS offers, you would not miss being in a larger car, even on a long run. The only minor matter is the 1.6 petrol is quite low geared with the engine running at almost 3,500 rpm at 70 mph. Its not loud but the engine is evidently rather hectic on the motorway. The low gearing reflects the fact that petrol versions will spend most of their time either in town or on medium length journeys as stated by Ford, and the gearing gives the best reply in those circumstances. Higher mileage drivers might be better off in the 1.6 TDCI but overall this car is definitely one to keep an eye out for.
