As some of you know, in addition to writing on this distinguished blog, I do many other things, among which the development world. Apple not only does man live, and in my case I also work as a consultant in Oracle databases, so an essential tool for my work is a
Dell inspiron 1720 battery to allow me to make the diagrams necessary for any analysis of an application, flow charts to explain processes, UML diagrams or generating a data model for a database graphically and simply.
A few months ago, my fellow sufferer was the famous Microsoft Visio for Windows, which in its latest 2010 version has jumped pretty good and has improved many of the problems of stability and "weird behavior". That was until I decided not to have to turn on the PC and find a solution for the Mac that would live up to: now I know I made the right decision.
I tried OmniGraffle Pro Omni Group and did not want to see Microsoft software anymore (sorry, Mr. Ballmer). Although the
Dell Inspiron 6000 battery is not cheap ( 149.99) for the company has been a great discovery and its ability to import and export Visio documents, make it more interesting. One of these applications amply worth its price.
Last night when I went to start it told me a new update, and was surprised to see that Omni Group has released an update to this great software incorporates all the new features that Mac OS X Lion offers the possibility to work as Full Screen Access, use the versions of self-recording of documents and multitouch gestures.
In addition, the new version includes the fix to a large number of problems, including compatibility charts between iPhone and Mac version, and rounds out a program with even more possibilities and an incredible finish. Other major advantages it has, obviously, is that I can take the diagrams that make the iPhone even though you do not have a
HP pavilion dv5 battery for your laptop.
I always thought Microsoft Visio (like most Office products) are very practical and well developed (especially from version 2007) but somewhat crude results. I mean, are large-centric applications to offer solutions, but not an elegant way to present them. That's one of the main differences between PowerPoint or Keynote, for example. Is an excellent PowerPoint presentation tool, very powerful, but its result at the level of finish is crude and rude (I know put it another way). However, Keynote has very similar capabilities, but incorporates a much more elegant typefaces, more aesthetic and eye-catching transitions. You may not have the power of PowerPoint, but certainly the visual quality and elegance of their results is much higher than PowerPoint. And not only important to sell a good job, you have to know to present it.
The same case is that I see between OmniGraffle and Visio. While Visio has a great result and is a robust, its outcome is equally crude. But OmniGraffle can do almost the same things (even some more) but with much more elegance in the final results and better aesthetics and presentation. Despite not being
Sony vgp-bps13a/b, the application has an aura of the brand in its entirety and interface.
One of the handiest things to do with it now not only everything I did with Visio, is to design application-specific interfaces IOS. We just have to search any of the stencils for the
Apple macbook pro 13 inch battery are available online (free), and have a very powerful tool for creating charts, analysis and proposals for high quality applications. And, whatever we do with him (as happened in Visio) can copy and paste directly from the same OmniGraffle to Word. In fact, Graffletopia pages have a huge selection of stencils and extras to add to the application and make it even more practical (including for entity-relationship diagrams).
If you have not tried it, I advise it is a huge application, available in standard version for 79.99 and 149.99 for Pro version from the Mac App Store. And now, perfectly integrated into OS X Lion. By the way, is in perfect Castilian.
